Voice Recorder

Capture voice or other microphone input with live level feedback and save the finished recording directly from your browser.

Record from your microphone

Microphone access is requested only after you select Enable Microphone. Recording happens locally in your browser.

How to use Voice Recorder

  1. 1

Click Enable Microphone and approve the browser permission request. Audio capture does not begin at this stage.

  2. 2

If more than one input is available, choose a Microphone, then select Auto / Best supported or another offered Recording format and Standard or High quality.

  3. 3

Press Record and monitor the timer, live waveform and input-level meter. Use Pause and Resume to keep one recording session without counting paused time.

  4. 4

Select Stop, wait for the seekable recording to be finalized, then play it from the beginning, edit the Filename and click Download.

About Voice Recorder

Voice Recorder turns the browser into a straightforward capture desk for spoken notes, pronunciation practice, interviews, instrument ideas and quick sound checks. Microphone permission is requested only after a deliberate click, and device labels appear once the browser allows access. Where several inputs exist, the selected microphone can be changed before recording.

While capture is active, the waveform shows incoming activity and the level meter gives a practical indication of a weak, healthy or overly strong signal. Pause and Resume belong to the same session, while the timer tracks only recorded intervals. This makes it possible to stop between takes without collecting several unrelated files.

The browser determines which recording codecs are available, so the format menu is capability-driven rather than universal. Once Stop is pressed, the container is finalized with a valid seekable timeline; that same finished Blob feeds the result player and download. No transcription service, cloud encoder or upload endpoint is involved.
