About Change Audio Speed
Change Audio Speed is useful when a lecture needs more deliberate pacing, a practice track should be slowed down or a long recording must be reviewed more quickly. Its 0.25×–4× range covers substantial timing changes, while fine slider increments allow a comfortable listening rate that may not match a preset.
Unlike basic resampling, the workspace separates tempo from pitch. Original and Adjusted use one coordinated playback source, preventing two versions from sounding at once and retaining the current position when modes change. The source waveform remains a stable visual reference, while the time display reflects the duration of the active speed.
For export, tempo filters are chained when the chosen factor exceeds the useful range of one stage. This preserves the selected overall factor without pretending that the operation is an instant metadata change. MP3, WAV, AAC, FLAC, OGG and Opus destinations are available, and processing does not leave the device.
