About Fill & Sign PDF
Not every PDF form behaves like a form. Some documents contain clickable fields that accept typed answers, while others are simply printed layouts saved as PDF files. Rental applications, consent forms, registration paperwork, and scanned agreements frequently require a combination of written information, checked boxes, dates, and signatures. Fill & Sign PDF accommodates both types without requiring you to print and scan the paperwork.
When a document contains supported interactive fields, you can complete them in place using text inputs, checkboxes, radio buttons, and dropdown menus. For static forms, the editor provides a separate layer of additions that can be positioned wherever information is required. A printed checkbox can receive a checkmark or X, an empty line can receive typed text, and a date can be inserted automatically in one of three formats. Fonts, sizing, colors, and placement controls help these additions fit the existing document.
Signing receives its own set of controls. You can draw a signature directly, generate a signature-style image from your typed name, or upload an existing signature graphic. Initials are created independently, making it practical to sign a final page while initialing several earlier sections. Both can be repositioned and resized while you work, without altering the underlying printed information.
The editor includes page thumbnails, adjustable zoom, and an editing history so you can inspect a multi-page form and correct misplaced additions before saving. All document and signature processing occurs within your browser; the files are not transferred to a processing server.
The downloaded PDF contains your completed information and visible signing marks, while the original file remains unchanged. This tool is intended for filling forms and adding electronic signatures, not for certifying identity, cryptographically signing documents, or rewriting existing PDF text.
