MP3, M4A/AAC, FLAC, OGG, Opus, or WAV · one file at a time

How to use Edit Audio Metadata

  1. 1

Choose an MP3, M4A, AAC, FLAC, OGG, Opus or WAV file and review its detected tags, cover artwork and technical details.

  2. 2

Update the Title, Artist, Album, Album Artist, Genre, date, track and disc numbers, Composer or Comment fields you need.

  3. 3

For compatible formats, drag an image onto Cover artwork or use Add, Replace or Remove. WAV keeps its interoperable RIFF INFO text fields and does not embed a cover.

  4. 4

Click Save Metadata, listen to the updated preview, check the saved tag summary and download the new audio file.

About Edit Audio Metadata

A mislabeled track can be difficult to recognize in a music library even when the audio itself is perfect. Edit Audio Metadata exposes the descriptive information stored inside MP3, M4A/AAC, FLAC, OGG, Opus and WAV containers, including titles, performers, album details, dates, numbering, composers and comments. The source player and technical summary help confirm that the correct recording is open before any changes are saved.

This is a tag editor rather than an audio converter. The save process builds a fresh container while stream-copying the existing encoded packets, so a metadata correction does not introduce another lossy generation. Compatible cover art can be kept, removed or replaced, with oversized images prepared locally for practical embedding.

Metadata standards are not interchangeable. ID3, MP4 tags, Vorbis-style comments, FLAC blocks and WAV RIFF INFO fields offer different capabilities; the workspace adjusts its controls accordingly instead of claiming that every field works everywhere. Inspection, artwork processing, remuxing and the final preview remain in the browser.
