About Convert from PDF
Information locked inside a PDF isn't always convenient to reuse. A financial statement may contain figures needed in a spreadsheet, a technical report might have paragraphs worth revising, or a presentation may exist only as a PDF. Convert from PDF helps move that material into formats better suited to the next task, whether you're editing content, preparing slides, or exporting individual pages as images.
The six supported output formats serve different purposes. Word (DOCX) reconstructs editable text into a document, with attention to reading order and basic heading structure. Excel (XLSX) organizes positioned text into spreadsheet cells, creating one worksheet for each exported PDF page. PowerPoint (PPTX) offers a choice between image-based slides that retain the source appearance and slides containing approximately positioned editable text. For simpler needs, Text (TXT) extracts written content without document formatting and allows page breaks to be preserved or omitted.
When visual reproduction matters more than editing, JPG and PNG export complete PDF pages as individual images. Adjustable rendering resolution provides control over image detail, and the additional JPG quality setting allows you to balance clarity against file size. These exports are useful for creating page illustrations, sharing individual diagrams, or inserting PDF content into other documents.
You don't have to convert an entire PDF to retrieve a few useful sections. The page selection controls accept individual numbers and ranges, allowing you to limit exports to the material you actually need. Output filenames are generated from the original document, and multi-page image conversions are packaged into a ZIP archive.
Because editable Office formats are reconstructed from PDF text and positioning information, they may require additional formatting work. Scanned pages without a searchable text layer cannot be converted into editable text until OCR has been performed separately.
The conversion process runs locally in your browser, without transferring the PDF to a processing server. Your original file is not modified, and the generated output can be downloaded directly to your device.
