Merge Text Files
Assemble notes, logs, data or source files in a deliberate sequence without altering the text stored inside each entry.
Add text files
Choose or drop multiple valid UTF-8 text files.
Text decoding, ordering, preview, merging, and download preparation happen locally in your browser. Files are never uploaded.
How to use Merge Text Files
- 1
Add at least two supported plain-text, Markdown, log, CSV, JSON, XML, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript or YAML files. Invalid UTF-8 or binary selections are rejected.
- 2
Arrange Merge order by dragging entries or using Move Up and Move Down. Files are combined from the top of the list to the bottom.
- 3
Choose No separator, New line, Blank line or Custom under Between files, optionally enable Add filename before each file, and enter the Output filename.
- 4
Check Merged preview, click Merge Text Files and review the complete result summary before downloading the combined UTF-8 file.

About Merge Text Files
Merge Text Files is useful when a directory of logs must become one record, chapter drafts need a single handoff file or code and data fragments have to be concatenated in a known order. It is text-aware rather than a generic binary joiner: every item is validated and strictly decoded as UTF-8 before entering the sequence.
Ordering remains visible and adjustable throughout the task. Between-file content can be absent, a single line break, a blank line or exact custom text, and optional filename headers preserve the origin of each section. Generated separators are placed only between sources, so the tool does not silently add material at the outer edges.
Decoded text is cached after selection, allowing reorder and settings changes to refresh the bounded preview without rereading unchanged files. The output itself is complete even when its preview is shortened for responsiveness. Filename sanitation and Blob creation happen locally, and the result is one direct text download rather than a ZIP or converted document.
