Frequently asked questions

About GIF Editor

GIF Editor exposes the structure hidden inside an animated GIF. Frames can be selected, reordered, trimmed or removed, and their delays can be corrected individually—useful for cutting an awkward pause or emphasizing one step in a short demonstration.

Whole-animation transformations keep every frame aligned while resizing, cropping, rotating or applying visual effects. Export controls balance palette richness against file size and can consolidate consecutive duplicate frames without shortening their intended display time. Decoding, preview and re-encoding remain local to the browser.
