FPS is measured from genuine video-frame callbacks when supported. Brightness is an infrequent low-resolution image estimate, not professional exposure analysis. A frame warning may also result from browser throttling or a hidden tab.

About Webcam Test

A camera can be detected yet still use the wrong lens, an unexpectedly low mode or an interrupted stream. The live preview places the negotiated settings beside measured delivery information, making it easier to separate device selection from the mode the browser actually received.

Snapshot capture uses the current frame and offers PNG or JPG downloads without persistent storage. Brightness is estimated from an occasional low-resolution sample, and frame delivery is observational rather than a laboratory benchmark. Stopping or resetting releases the active media tracks.
