About Microphone Test

Microphone troubleshooting needs more than a moving volume bar. This workspace combines level monitoring with time-domain and frequency-domain views, then reports the stream settings the browser exposes. Device changes and optional audio-processing preferences can be tested without sending audio to a server.

The recording stage provides a direct listening check with a correctly finalized seekable timeline, particularly important for browser-generated audio containers. Recording never starts with monitoring alone. Reset stops tracks, cancels pending drawing work and restores both visualizations to their neutral state.
