They expand the selected interval while retaining the original footage before the range and the remainder after it.

Does 3x mean three extra copies?

No. It means three total passes of the chosen content, including its first appearance.

How can the output match an exact target duration?

The planner adds complete passes and trims only the final required pass when a partial loop is needed.

What sequence does Ping-Pong create?

Pass direction alternates forward and reverse. For example, 3x produces forward, reverse and forward before continuing beyond a custom range.
